Therefore, nationals from 114 countries possessing electronic visas and citizens of another 68 countries who are eligible for visas on arrival will now be permitted to enter Bahrain. As was the case earlier, Bahraini citizens, residents, and GCC nationals will continue to be permitted too, as well as diplomats, military personnel, airline crew, and holders of official, service, or UN passports. According to the new Covid-19 testing rules, incoming passengers must undergo a PCR test at their own expense after landing. Read: Bahrain cancels mandatory 10-day quarantine for all inbound travellers The government has cancelled a mandatory 10-day quarantine for all incoming passengers whose Covid-19 test undertaken upon their arrival. Passengers must only self-isolate until their negative test results are confirmed. There will be another test conducted 10 days after their arrival within the kingdom. The cost of the test at arrival and the one after 10 days together amounts to BD60. On September 6, Bahrain reported that it had detected 644 new Covid-19 cases, taking the overall number of cases identified in the country up to 55,415.
