Home Industry Finance Bahrain’s Investcorp to establish $100m fund for Oman’s pension funds The Opportunities Fund will make private equity investments in the US and Europe by Staff Writer March 11, 2018 Bahrain’s Investcorp has announced plans to launch a dedicated $100m fund for Oman’s pension funds. The Opportunities Fund will make private equity investments in the US and Europe in mid-sized companies across several sectors. “Oman is an important market for Investcorp and we are committed to playing an active role in supporting the development of its economy,” said Investcorp executive chairman Mohammed Alardhi. “The fund will enable Omani pension funds to tap into investment opportunities in growth companies, sectors and markets.” Last month, Investcorp’s co-chief executive Rishi Kapoor said it was in the advanced stages of merger and acquisition deals in the Gulf, the United States and Europe. Each of the deals would be within the company’s targeted enterprise value – equity plus debt – of $200m to $500m, he told Reuters.
