British Airways to resume London-Dubai flights on alternate days from July 17

British Airways (BA) will resume its direct return flights from London Heathrow to Dubai International Airport from July 17.

Starting July 17, there will be one flight departing every alternate day from London to Dubai.

The non-stop flight will leave Heathrow at 12.50pm and arrive in Dubai at 11.05pm the same day.

Similarly, from July 18, there will be one BA flight that departs every alternate day from Dubai to London.

The return flight will leave Dubai at 1.30am and arrive in the British capital at 6.15am.

According to the prices shown on BA’s website, a one-way economy ticket from London-Dubai costs approximately Dhs1,600, while a one-way flight from Dubai-London is priced at around Dhs1,500.

Starting from August 1, flights from London to Dubai and Dubai to London will operate daily.

BA will use its Boeing 777 jets on the route.

Emirates, meanwhile, plans to restart flying its Airbus SE A380 superjumbos to London and Paris from next month, Bloomberg reported earlier this week.

Dubai has said that it will begin receiving tourists starting July 7, and has already permitted foreign nationals who possess residency visas issued in Dubai to return on flights to the emirate.

Citizens and residents of the emirate can also now travel to any country of their choice.

The local government has issued a list of guidelines with regards to visitors and residents entering Dubai.

Upon their return to Dubai, citizens and residents will have to undergo a PCR test at the airport.

Tourists must undergo a PCR test with a maximum validity of four days (96 hours) ahead of the date of departure.

Airlines will be able to refuse passengers who display Covid-19 symptoms.
