Home GCC UAE Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2021: Registration begins Hotel registration is now underway, with the event scheduled to take place in May by Gulf Business February 2, 2021 The Business Traveller Middle East Awards, celebrating the companies and individuals at the forefront of business travel and services, will hold its 19th edition in 2021, with several new categories added this year. Hotel registration is now underway via Platinumlist, with the event scheduled to take place in May. Voting across some 37 categories will go live in March, spanning 10 airline awards, four airport awards and 17 hotel awards. Six leisure and lifestyle awards have also been introduced for 2021. Reflecting new trends and traveller priorities, they include ‘Best Leisure Hotel in the UAE’, ‘Best Golf Club in the Middle East’, ‘Best Luggage for Business Travel’, ‘Best Business Technology (phones, teleconferencing, etc)’, ‘Best Credit or Payment Card for Business Travel’ and ‘Best Mobile Travel Application’. Also making its debut in 2021 following the normalisation of relations between the UAE and Israel, is the ‘Best Business Hotel in Tel Aviv’ category. The 2021 event will see more than 150 people attend an exclusive business lunch at a five-star UAE hotel, with details to be confirmed soon. The event’s 2020 edition, which was held virtually, saw awards handed out to Emirates, Etihad Airways, InterContinental, Marriott Bonvoy, Qatar Airways and Rotana, among others.
