The Emirates Industry for Camel Milk and Products (EICMP) who produce the popular brand, sent camel milk powder, whey powder and fresh milk to the European Union after it obtained its EU export licence earlier this year. Mutasher Al-Badry, deputy general manager at EICMP, said: “We are very proud to be the first UAE based company to ship camel milk powder to Europe on the new permit. “We would like to thank all parties involved in this effort to see Dubai and our brand ‘Camelicious’ find its rank amongst global exporters.” Speaking exclusively to Gulf Business in February, Al-Badry said the company has plans to partner with “international companies to utilize camel milk in other areas such as medicine, beauty products, and specialized foods because of its great benefits.” EICMP has said it will focus on the European B2B market, targeting the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, sport and nutritional fields. Camelicious’ sister brand Al Nassma Chocolate will ship its first container to Austria later in the year. “We are thrilled to see our products on the European market. This is a ground-breaking step for our company as well as for the camel milk industry in the UAE,” Al-Badry added. 0 Comments
