Home UAE Dubai Camping with caravans on this Dubai beach is now free Campers must obtain a permit – issued for free – before heading to the beach located in Al Sufouh area by Zainab Mansoor January 15, 2020 Campers in Dubai can rejoice as caravans on Dubai beaches designated for this purpose have become free of charge, Dubai Media Office said. The move aims to allow Dubai residents, especially camping enthusiasts and caravan owners, to relish the ambience of the emirate’s beaches throughout the year, especially in the winter months, the statement added. Those who wish to camp on the beach must obtain a permit – issued for free – before heading to the site. The beach currently designated for this activity is in Al Sufouh area, adjacent to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Street. The requisite permit can be availed online on the Dubai Municipality website, without the need to visit the centre. “The applicant must enter the necessary data and documents through Dubai Municipality website, and a permit will be issued immediately, which allows its holder to camp at the specified location for 15 days, noting that the permit aims to ensure proper planning for this type of beach use,” Dawood Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality said. However, he advised beachgoers in general, and camping enthusiasts in particular, on the importance of complying with the regulatory and environmental guidelines that regulate the use of the beaches, for the safety, security and comfort of visitors, and for the preservation of the beaches. Dubai Municipality’s working teams, in collaboration with other government bodies, will take requisite steps towards site follow-up to ensure that all beachgoers comply with regulatory controls that are imperative in this context, the statement said. 0 Comments
