Read: Commercial Bank of Dubai CEO to retire The incoming executive built his career at ABN AMRO in the Netherlands and was general manager of the treasury of Saudi Hollandi Bank before becoming CEO in 2009, according to a bourse statement. Coincidentally Baltussen was also CEO of Saudi Hollandi Bank before joining CBD in 2006. CBD said it considered a number of candidates for the role, but unanimously chose van Linder for his credentials and expertise in regional financial services. Chairman Saeed Chobash said the board was confident van Linder would ensure a focus on growth and modernisation at the bank.
