The women, who are Kuwaiti nationals, were admitted into intensive care on Wednesday, and are receiving the requisite medical care. One of them remains in “critical” condition while the other is “stable”, Kuwait News Agency reported, citing the Health Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr Butheina Al-Mudhaf. All other quarantined cases remain stable and fine, it was reported. The total number of those infected in Kuwait now totals 58, and includes a 34-year-old patient, the first to recover in the country. Saudi Arabia Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has reported a total of five cases. The three new cases include a couple where the husband returned from Iran but did not disclose his travel to Iran upon arrival into Saudi Arabia via Kuwait. The third new case reported on Thursday was of another person who also returned from Iran via Bahrain, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Oman The sultanate reported six new cases of the coronavirus infection, bringing the overall number to 12. UAE The UAE’s health authorities reported six new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking the total count to 27, while the Dubai Health Authority confirmed on Wednesday that a school student and parent were also infected. Bahrain Of the 49 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, the Ministry of Health announced the recovery of four individuals, Bahrain News Agency reported. The ministry assured that all individuals under isolation have undergone extensive medical testing to ensure their recovery from the virus before being discharged. Qatar Qatar has reported a total of 8 coronavirus cases, as of Wednesday, March 4. The virus that originated reportedly from a live food market in the Chinese city of Wuhan has spread to more than 80 countries, having claimed over 3,000 lives globally. 0 Comments
