The total number of those infected in the country total 140, of whom 31 patients are said to have fully recovered. Officials advised the public to practice social distancing as an essential measure to try and halt the spread of the contagion. As an additional step, the UAE suspended the entry of all its valid visa holders, including residents who are currently abroad, for a renewable period of two weeks, beginning at 12pm on Thursday, March 19, as a means to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
