Home GCC Saudi Arabia Covid-19: Saudi, Oman, Kuwait report additional cases; GCC recoveries cross 125 A total of 118 people tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in the kingdom by Zainab Mansoor March 16, 2020 Saudi’s Ministry of Health reported 15 new cases of the coronavirus Covid-19, bringing the total number of those infected to 118, it announced on Sunday, March 15. The confirmed cases include two residents from Indonesia and the Philippines who were in contact with a previously reported case of infection, Saudi Press Agency reported. Five additional cases were also of citizens who were in contact with previous cases. One Spanish resident coming in from Spain also tested positive and is quarantined in a health facility in Khobar. Meanwhile, two female citizens who came from Spain and the United Kingdom were also confirmed coronavirus infectees. Furthermore, a male citizen coming in from Egypt was one of the latest Covid-19 cases, so were the two male citizens coming from the United Kingdom and Switzerland, who were quarantined in a health facility in Jeddah. Three cases are said to have fully recovered in the kingdom. Oman A total of 22 people have been diagnosed with the Covid-19 in Oman, the latest being two individuals confirmed on Sunday, Times of Oman reported. “Ministry of Health announces the registration of one new confirmed case with coronavirus of a citizen linked to travel to Italy, and is currently home quarantined. This brings the total number of cases to 22,” a statement by the ministry read. Kuwait A total of 11 new coronavirus cases were registered in the country, bringing the total number of those infected to 123, Kuwait News Agency reported. A total of nine cases are said to have fully recovered. Bahrain A total of 77 people have recovered in the kingdom, Bahrain News Agency reported. Qatar Qatar reported 64 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of those infected to 401, the ministry of health confirmed. Of those infected, four individuals have recovered. A total of 7,950 people were tested for the virus in the country. Regionally, a total of 128 individuals recovered from the Covid-19 virus since the outbreak that has infected over 930 people across the GCC. 0 Comments
