The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced that residents can now book an appointment for a Covid-19 PCR test at several malls across the emirate.
The PCR testing stations are located at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira.
The result of the tests, priced at Dhs150, will be sent to the customer within 24 hours.
However, the health authority cautioned that those who have a fever or any respiratory symptoms should not get tested at the mall.
It added that it is specifically available for those who require a PCR test result for travel and other non-medical purposes.
Each testing facility can conduct 180 tests per day.
Humaid Al Qutami, director general of the DHA visited all three testing stations on Monday along Dr. Amer Ahmad Sharif, head of Dubai’s Covid-19 Command and Control Centre, Dr Farida Al Khaja, CEO of DHA’s Clinical Support Services and Nursing Sector and Ahmed Al Nuaimi, CEO of Joint Corporate Support Services.
The centres will administer tests seven days a week from 11am-6pm to those who have pre-booked their appointment.
To book the testing, residents can contact the health authority via its toll-free number 800DHA (800342).
Last week, DHA said that it had opened three new dedicated Covid-19 testing facilities in the emirate at Al Rashidiya Majlis, Al Hamriya Port Majlis and Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis. These centres are in addition to those that were previously opened at Al Shabab Al-Ahli and Al Nasr Clubs.
