Covid-19: UAE reports 1,541 new cases, four deaths
Over 68.4 per cent of the UAE’s population is now fully vaccinated
The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 1,541 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the country to 664,027.
The cases were detected after the ministry conducted 255,986 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.
MoHAP also announced four deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,904.
An additional 1,502 individuals also fully recovered from the virus, with total recoveries reaching 641,750.

In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
It also urged the public to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
The UAE also confirmed that 69,695 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were given in the last 24 hours, to reach a total of 16,444,844 doses in the country.
