The new infections were found following 334,211 Covid-19 tests to screen for the virus across the country. In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. MoHAP added that two Covid-19-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 2,158. It also added that an additional 618 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19 over the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 741,325.
