MoHAP also announced one death due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,152. The nationwide case count has now risen to 744,438. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi has received the first global shipment of AstraZeneca’s Evusheld, long-acting antibody medication after gaining Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) from the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention. The antibody medication arrived in Abu Dhabi on December 20 following a collaboration between Rafed, the UAE’S primary group purchasing organisation and the procurement arm of the UAE, along with Etihad Cargo, in addition to AstraZeneca, and Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).
