Covid-19 update: UAE reports 2,204 cases, 1,693 recoveries

The UAE’s health ministry has confirmed a total of 2,204 additional Covid-19 infections on March 10.

The new cases were detected as a result of 242,0246 tests conducted across the country to screen for the virus.

The ministry also reported 1,693 recoveries and 8 fatalities in the preceding 24 hours.

The case count across the UAE has now risen to 417,909. This includes 398,126 people who have recovered from the infection and 1,693 who succumbed to it.

The health ministry also confirmed on March 9 that 37,460 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered in the preceding 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to yesterday stands at 6,325,211 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 63.95 doses per 100 people.
