Home Covid-19 Covid-19 update: UAE reports 3,601 cases, highest daily rise in infections; death toll crosses 800 The case count has risen past 285,000 by Zainab Mansoor January 26, 2021 The UAE reported a total of 3,601 infections on January 26, its highest daily rise in new cases since the virus broke out early last year. The second highest rise in new infections on a daily basis, equalling 3,591, was recorded on January 25. The new cases were detected as a result of 175,249 tests conducted to screen for the virus. The country’s health ministry also confirmed 3,890 recoveries and seven deaths. The total case count has now risen to 285,147, which includes 259,194 patients who have since recovered from the contagion.
