Home UAE Dubai Damac Develops Donald Trump Golf Course The Trump International Golf Club Dubai will be the first course by the organisation in the Middle East. by Neil Churchill May 5, 2013 Damac Properties has announced plans to develop an 18-hole golf course in Dubai in collaboration with American real estate tycoon Donald Trump. Trump International Golf Club will be located at the heart of the property firm’s latest development, Akoya, which the group announced last week. As well as the 7,205 yard PGA Championship course, which will be ready to play by next year, the project will encompass a 30,000 sq ft clubhouse, three restaurants and a spa and wellness centre. Hussein Sajwani, chairman, DAMAC Properties, said: “This course will provide a unique challenge for golfers, while delivering the upmost luxury and refinement for which both Damac Properties and the Trump Organization have become renowned for.” The Trump Organisation has become something of a seasoned developer of golf courses in recent years – some not without controversy – with a total of 14 under its management. “As with all of the courses we develop and manage, Trump International Golf Club Dubai is being built to the highest standards of excellence and will become known as one of the world’s finest courses,” said Ivanka Trump, executive vice president at the Trump Organisation. “The combination of DAMAC Properties’ local knowledge and expertise in the luxury market and our unrivalled experience with owning and operating a collection of the world’s finest courses will result in a challenging golf course with stunning landscaping and superior quality.” A study earlier this month by KPMG placed the UAE in the top 10 for the most popular golfing destinations in the world. 0 Comments
