Damac Launches Partnership With Fendi

Damac Properties has unveiled a new partnership with global fashion house Fendi that will see the label provide interior design on two new projects by the developer.

The tie-up will cover Damac’s 150-metre luxury serviced-apartments tower in Riyadh and a private apartments residence in Dubai’s marina.

Both towers, which are set to be completed in 2016, will also be furnished exclusively by the Italian fashion brand.

The announcement marked a rare public appearance from the chairman of Damac, Hussain Sajwani.

Sajwani said: “The real estate market in both Riyadh and Dubai are again performing strongly, especially in the high-end, luxury sector. We believe there will be a very high level of anticipation for these apartments from nationals and overseas investors.”

He added properties in the developer’s Riyadh tower would only be made available by invitation to VIPs, adding it will be the “most desirable serviced apartments available anywhere in the Middle East.”

Carla Fendi, honourary president of the brand, and Giorgio Starace, Italy’s ambassador to the UAE, were also at the launch in Dubai.

“The partnership between Damac Properties and Fendi marks an important step forward in the growth of ‘Made in Italy’ in the United Arab Emirates,” said Starace.
