Home GCC Oman Decision to resume air traffic in Oman under discussion – officials Oman has registered a total of 34,902 cases and 18,502 subsequent recoveries since the outbreak of the virus by Zainab Mansoor June 25, 2020 Oman is mulling the resumption of air traffic, with the decision to be made in due course, the Minister of Transport has said. During a media briefing of the Supreme Committee members, the minister added that 50 per cent of commercial activities and about 50 per cent of factories have resumed and are all operating according to protocols and precautionary measures announced, Times of Oman reported. “The decision to Omanise delivery profession for restaurants and shops will be approved soon. The decision has been due to the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases among expatriates,” Minister of Transport said. Oman registered 1,366 new coronavirus cases and two deaths on June 25. The Minister of Health confirmed that there was no indication that the opening of some commercial activities caused an increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 across the sultanate. The reason for the increase in cases was due to lack of compliance with preventive measures. Should the number of cases increases, Oman may open field hospitals, the Minister of Health added. Oman has registered a total of 34,902 cases and 18,502 subsequent recoveries since the outbreak of the virus late last year. #Statement No 119 June 25, 2020 pic.twitter.com/dEoKMGrZqh — وزارة الصحة – عُمان (@OmaniMOH) June 25, 2020 Tags air traffic Covid-19 Oman pandemic Supreme Committee 0 Comments You might also like How REITs are unlocking the potential of UAE real estate Top marks for GCC nations in digital connectivity index Etihad Rail: 9 amazing facts about this growing network Global airlines poised for 2.7% jump in profit in 2024, says IATA
