Infinity des Lumières is a project by InfinityArt and Culturespaces Digital, and will spread over 2,700 sq. metres in the world’s largest shopping destination. Works by Van Gogh, Dreamed Japan and Verse exhibitions will run simultaneously at the gallery. The gallery will present classic and contemporary art with the help of 130 projectors, 58 speakers and 3,000 HD digital moving images. The creators say Infinity des Lumières will feature the largest digital facade within Dubai Mall with a total display area of 200 square metres of projected art. The Infinity des Lumières’ Boutique will be accessible directly from the Dubai Mall and open to all. Read: Is art collecting only for the rich? Culturespaces Digital has produced immersive exhibitions since 2012, with galleries at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris, as well as the Carrières de Lumières in Provence, the Bassins de Lumières in Bordeaux and the Bunker des Lumières in South Korea. The exhibitions feature digital versions of art by masters such as Van Gogh, Monet, Chagall, Dalí or Japan’s 19th-century art, as well as other contemporary artists. “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Culturespaces Digital in establishing our technology-driven, engaging, and transformative platform,” said Catherine Oriol, director of Infinity des Lumières, explained. “Visitors will have infinite possibilities to be at the centre of art, fully immersed and connected to it. The inspiring exhibitions speak universally to different audiences, of all ages and cultural backgrounds,” she added. Infinity des Lumières expects to attract half a million visitors per year at its Dubai location.
