Home GCC Saudi Arabia Domestic flights to resume in Saudi Arabia from May 31 All local destinations will be covered by these flights within two weeks by Varun Godinho May 27, 2020 Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has confirmed that domestic flights within the kingdom, operated by national carriers, will commence from Sunday, May 31. This comes a day after Saudi Arabia announced a gradual phased reopening of activities across the kingdom, except Makkah. In the initial stage, flights to the following airports will commence: – King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh – King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah – King Fahd International Airport in Dammam – Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah – Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim – Abha International Airport – Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk – King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan – Hail International Airport – King Saud Airport in Al-Bahah – Najran Airport GACA added that it was working in coordination with airports, air carriers and companies operating in the civil aviation sector to meet the demand in the local market. Saudi Arabia had suspended all international flights from March 15 and all domestic flights from March 21 as part of the Covid-19 precautionary measures which it had put into place to contain the spread of the virus.
