All licenced venues in the emirate will have to refrain from serving alcohol during that period, according to a circular issued by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTM) to hotels and restaurants across the emirate. Prophet Muhammad’s birthday is expected to fall on Saturday, November 9, with the UAE also marking the occasion with a public holiday.
