Home Transport Aviation Dubai Aerospace leases 7 Airbus A321neo aircraft to Indian carrier IndiGo The aircraft will be delivered in 2021 by Varun Godinho February 24, 2021 Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) said on Tuesday that it had signed a long-term agreement to lease 7 Airbus A321neo aircraft to IndiGo, India’s largest passenger airline. All 7 aircraft will be powered by CFM International’s Leading Edge Aviation Propulsion (LEAP) engines and are scheduled to be delivered in 2021. “This investment reiterates our commitment to invest in new, fuel-efficient aircraft to minimize carbon and nitrogen emissions as well as noise while at the same time increase performance, reliability and environmental sustainability,” said Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE. DAE meanwhile delivered the first of 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to American Airlines in December. At the time, the state-owned company had 381 planes, and committed to adding 31 jets valued at $1.1bn.
