Home Transport Aviation Dubai carrier flydubai launches new upgrade option for Business Class When the bidding period begins, passengers travelling Economy Class will be notified via email by Zainab Mansoor November 11, 2020 Dubai-based flydubai has announced a new service that offers passengers the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to Business Class before their next flight. When the bidding period begins, passengers travelling Economy Class on eligible flights will be notified by the carrier via email. Once accepted, the passenger will be charged for the bid amount that was submitted for the upgrade, and will receive an updated booking confirmation. In the event of an upgrade not being possible, the passenger will not be charged and will continue as per the original itinerary. “Flydubai is committed to investing in technology that enhances the passenger experience,” said Jeyhun Efendi, senior vice president, commercial operations and e-commerce at flydubai. “By providing more options for flight upgrades we look forward to giving passengers additional choice and flexibility when flying with us and a unique opportunity to experience our Business Class product.” Passengers travelling Business Class can enjoy several benefits to enhance their travel experience, that include a dedicated check-in counter and priority services during security checks and baggage collection at selected airports. Passengers will also have access to flydubai’s Business Class Lounge at Terminal 2 or Emirates Business Class Lounge at Terminal 3 at Dubai International. The airline had earlier announced that passengers who book flights between September 1 and November 30 will be given free global cover for Covid-19.
