Home Transport Aviation Dubai International Airport to host music festival British folk musician Nathan Faulkner will headline the 10-hour event by Staff Writer June 26, 2018 Dubai International Airport is set to host its first-ever music festival this weekend featuring British folk musician Nathan Faulkner. The 10-hour musicDXB will start at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 28, and run until the early hours of Friday, June 29, according to What’s On. Performances will be spread across the airport’s B, C and D concourses. Faulkner, who is known for his 2007 hit ‘Dream Catch Me’, will take to the stage at 11:00pm in Concourse B to coincide with peak travel during one of the airport’s busiest weekends of the year so far. Other acts performing on the night include guitarist and singer Aman Sheriff at 7:00pm on Thursday, singer/songwriter Stephon LaMar at 12:30am on Friday and blues singer Jay Abo at 3:00am. The concerts are free to attend for passengers travelling through the airport, which is the world’s busiest for international travellers. Dubai Airports expects passenger traffic to grow 2.4 percent this year to 90.3 million. CEO Paul Griffiths has predicted it could then return to double-digit passenger growth as early as 2019 helped by a partnership between home airlines Emirates and Flydubai.
