Home UAE Dubai Dubai introduces low-cost taxi fares for Global Village visitors Special taxi fares begin October 29 when Global Village opens by Zainab Mansoor October 27, 2019 Visitors to Global Village can avail exclusive low taxi fares when they book a ride using the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) app. The move comes after DTC, part of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed an agreement with Global Village, a statement said. Transport services will extend to taxis, limos and bus services. “The agreement provides for DTC to exclusively deliver transit services to Global Village visitors, be it a regular taxi, family taxi, limo, Amira limo, convertible limo, and limo bike,” said Dr.Yousef Al Ali, CEO at DTC. Dubai Taxi Corporation has signed an agreement with the Global Village whereby it will be the exclusive provider of taxi, limo and bus services to visitors of the Global Village. pic.twitter.com/TvcC21QW5F — RTA (@rta_dubai) October 27, 2019 The DTC app will provide transit services to visitors from assembly to entry points at Global Village through DTC-operated commercial buses. “The new season will be marked by massive improvements in the infrastructure including more parking space, and the re-marking of parking slots in different guiding colours,” said Bader Anwahi, CEO, Global Village. “Our aim is to improve customers’ experience, shorten the time to access Global Village and save the time associated with the parking vehicles.” The 24th edition of Global Village will open on October 29 and will run for 166 days until April 4 next year.
