Home Industry Dubai launches medical tourism portal The portal provides health, travel, hospitality and visa services to medical tourists by Neil King April 11, 2016 Dubai Health Authority has launched the world’s first medical tourism portal, offering visitors to the emirate comprehensive services at the click of a button. Dubai Health Experience, inaugurated by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, is an online initiative that provides all health, travel, hospitality and visa services to medical tourists to the emirate. The programme has a target of encouraging more than 500,000 medical tourists, according to DHA’s chairman Humaid Al Qatami, and has been launched in cooperation with 25 private and public hospitals as well as Emirates Airline, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs, and other partners. The portal, located at www.dxh.ae, allows visitors to book medical procedures and take advantage of discounted air fairs, visa, medical insurance, hotels stays, leisure activities and more. Head of DHA’s medical tourism initiative Dr Laila Al Marzouqi said: “Dubai has world-class medical facilities, it has security, happiness, aspiration and love. The leading carrier, Emirates, flies to over 140 countries. The time is perfect to launch this electronic portal that will connect the world with Dubai’s medical facilities.” 0 Comments
