Home UAE Dubai Dubai listed among top 10 cities to visit in 2020 by Lonely Planet The emirate is the only GCC destination to feature on the list by Zainab Mansoor October 23, 2019 Global travel guide company, Lonely Planet has listed Dubai as one of its top 10 cities to visit in 2020. The emirate came in at ninth spot and is the only destination from the GCC to feature in the Travel for 2020 guide. Lonely Planet credited Dubai’s inclusion to key attractions as well as other technological and cultural landmarks. These include Dubai Expo 2020, the Museum of the Future and The World islands. “The future is now in Dubai as the superlative-craving emirate launches several boundary-pushing marquee projects in 2020,” read the travel website. Salzburg, Washington D.C, Cairo and Bonn were also among the recommended globetrotting destinations in the list. Tom Hall, Lonely Planet’s VP of Experience, said, “Dubai is famed for its drive to seek out new world records, which will enthral visitors. The food is wonderful, and the shopping is world-class.
