Home UAE Dubai Dubai Lynx Awards 2013 Announced Y&R Dubai bags agency of the year award for the third year in a row. by Aarti Nagraj March 14, 2013 Y&R Dubai retained its title as the agency of the year for the third year in a row, while Leo Burnett bagged the network of the year award for the second consecutive year at the annual Dubai Lynx Advertising Awards 2013. The new independent agency of the year award was given to Interesting Times, Beirut and Starcom MediaVest Group, Dubai, was awarded the media agency of the year. Roy Haddad, director, Middle East and North Africa of WPP was presented with the Dubai Lynx advertising person 2013 award. Bahraini telecoms company Batelco was awarded advertiser of the year and the Lynx Palm Award, given to the most awarded production company, went to Lighthouse Films, Cairo. The Dubai Lynx received 2,092 entries from 19 countries this year, up 2.7 per cent compared to 2012. A total of 185 winners were awarded with six grands prix, 26 gold, 69 silver and 84 bronze trophies. The awards were given in 15 categories including the new branded content & entertainment section. However, no grands prix were handed out in direct, film, film craft, integrated, interactive, print & poster craft, mobile, outdoor and radio categories.
