Home UAE Dubai Dubai Lynx Awards 2014 Winners Announced Memac Ogilvy Dubai claimed agency of the year, while Ogilvy & Mather bagged network of the year award. by Aarti Nagraj March 13, 2014 A total of 207 awards were presented at the eighth annual Dubai Lynx Awards 2014, with Memac Ogilvy Dubai bagging the agency of the year title. Ogilvy & Mather won the network of the year award, while the media agency of the year went to Starcom MediaVest Group Dubai. The independent agency of the year was awarded to Kairo, Cairo. Eddie Moutran, chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy Group for the Middle East & North Africa, was awarded the Dubai Lynx Advertising Person 2014. The advertiser of the year award was bagged by Land Rover this year and the Lynx Palm Award, given to the most awarded production company, was presented to Dé Ja Vu, Dubai. In total, 43 jury members spent three days judging over 2,279 pieces of work – up 8.9 per cent compared to 2013 – from 18 countries. The winning entries, across 15 categories, were chosen from 503 shortlists, and included four grand prix, 41 gold, 70 silver and 92 bronze trophies. Memac Ogilvy Label Tunisia bagged two grand prix awards for the media and mobile categories for its campaign, ‘Mobilizing the 12th Man’. DDB Dubai won the promo & activation grand prix and the print & poster Craft Grand Prix was awarded to Impact BBDO Dubai. However, no grands prix were handed out in branded content & entertainment, design, direct, film, film craft, integrated, interactive, outdoor, PR, print and radio categories. The UAE took home the most trophies, followed by Lebanon and Egypt. The Dubai Lynx awards are organised by Cannes Lions and Motivate. 0 Comments
