Home UAE Dubai Dubai Media Office Gets New Head Muna Ghanem Al Marri has been appointed as the new director of the Dubai Government’s media office. by Aarti Nagraj November 20, 2012 Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued a decree appointing Muna Ghanem Al Marri as director general of the Dubai Government’s media office, official news agency WAM reported. Sheikh Mohammed also issued another decree to reshuffle the board of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), which is chaired by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s deputy ruler. Sami Al Qamzi has been appointed as DMI’s deputy chairman and the board members include: Awadh Hadir Al Muhairi, Muna Ghanem Al Marri, Jamal Howaireb, Amina Al Rustamani, Abdulhamid Jumaa, Hala Bedari, Mohammed Saif Al Muqbali and Ali Sultan Al Hadad. Sheikh Mohammed also appointed Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri as director general of DMI TV channels and Dhaen Shaheen as director general for publishing sector at DMI. The decrees were issued during Sheikh Mohammed’s meeting with local media officials in Dubai. During his meeting, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need to de-centralise administration so as to increase innovation and creativity and train future leaders, reported WAM. “He expressed his satisfaction about the general performance of DMI, urging all the employees to abide with the professional measures and teamwork spirit,” the report added. 0 Comments
