The promotions come following a personal inspection of the facilities at Dubai International Airport by Sheikh Mohammed on Sunday to review the flow of passengers, baggage-screening facilities, check-in areas and passport counters. During the tour he expressed his “happiness and satisfaction” with the “high- quality services” provided by all of the departments at Dubai International Airport, official news agency WAM reported. He also thanked the Dubai ruler for recognising the efforts of the 821 staff and motivating them to continue their hard work. Dubai has been phasing out traditional immigration counters with the launch of smart gates for certain passport holders and UAE residents at all three of Dubai International’s terminals.
