This service provides transport and delivery solutions for companies, including delivery service companies via smart platforms and apps, restaurants and retailers. Dubai Taxi intends to increase the fleet to 990 bikes by the end of the year. “Dubai Taxi Corporation offers motorbikes driven by highly efficient and qualified drivers who conform to best practices to ensure safe delivery services to customers. DTC’s fleet of motorbikes is equipped with safety features monitored by the latest tracking devices as well as a 24/7 control centre. Dubai Taxi’s professional team is eager to provide top-notch services in terms of operation, tracking, and maintenance, and the service preserves the identity of the brands of companies in contract with it,” said Mansoor Al Falasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation. Dubai Taxi aims to support delivery services sector “The delivery service provided by Dubai Taxi is part of its efforts to support Dubai’s delivery services sector and economic development as well as to provide new growth prospects for commercial businesses. The increasing demand for the delivery services in Dubai as well as the development exhibited in the expansion plans for this service underlines DTC’s success in providing innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions for delivery services,” added Al Falasi. Tunnel lighting In other news, RTA replaced 14,400 traditional lighting units with eco-friendly LED lights. This upgrade included at least 39 tunnels and crossings, spanning a total of 22.6 km. The project entailed re-engineering the operating systems of tunnel lighting units and night road crossings, with sustainable, eco-friendly lights. “RTA recently renovated the lighting for 39 tunnels. This six-month project, entailed some of Dubai’s prominent tunnels including the airport tunnel, Shindagha Tunnel, Dubai Mall Tunnel, and the Dubai World Trade Centre Tunnel,” stated Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA. RTA also recently signed three collaboration agreements with specialised global bus manufacturers to improve public transportation sustainability.
