The new system will offer roadside assistance via a smart app that will be rolled out with the project in March. The app will send the users location to nearest available recovery vehicle.Assistance including towing, fuel, tire repair and the resolving of mechanical faults is then offered, according to DTC’s Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Ali. “The DTC is in constant pursuit of distinctive initiatives that meet the needs of Dubai visitors & residents, contributes to enhancing the traffic safety, and reducing crashes,” he said. AAA chairman Mohammed bin Sulayem said the deal would turn the car recovery business into a digital platform and ease traffic congestion in Dubai. “Through this technology, the motorist would not be obliged to wait for long for towing his or her vehicle, and would be able to track the movement of the recovery vehicle on its way for providing assistance,” he said. 0 Comments
