Home UAE Dubai Dubai tops digital city ranking The emirate had a strong showing across Bloom Consulting’s study by Robert Anderson August 29, 2018 Dubai beaten the likes of Singapore, London and New York to top the Digital City Index produced by Spanish consultants Bloom Consulting. The index, which ranks 136 cities worldwide using software that measures the total amount of searches performed in three categories, placed Dubai top for tourism and second for talent and investment. In comparison, second place Singapore came first for investment but seventh for tourism and fourth for talent and London in third stood fifth for investment, second for tourism and first for talent. Hong, Kong, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Barcelona and Toronto made up the top 10. The UAE emirate has tourism a priority under its diversification plans with a goal of attracting 20 million tourists by 2020. Tourist arrivals stood almost flat in the first half of the year at 8.10 million.
