Dubai’s Azizi Developments has ordered 10 of Tesla’s new Cybertrucks which it will deploy for customers’ site visits.

In a bid to improve its customers’ pre-sales experience, the developer aims to use the vehicles to take them on site visits to its developments across Dubai, a statement said.

Azizi, which currently has 54 ongoing projects to to be delivered between 2019 and 2023, plans to deploy only electric vehicles (EVs) for its customer site visits, aligned to its sustainability commitments, and reliance on clean and renewable energy, the statement said.

Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments, said: “We are excited about this pre-order, with it underlining our commitment to being a sustainable, environmentally conscious developer.”

“We are looking forward to modernise our fleet with Tesla’s Cybertrucks.”

Tesla launched its first electric pickup, the Cybertruck, last month, at a starting price of $39,900.

Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk hailed the new vehicle as a “better truck than an F-150, faster than a Porsche 911” – on his Twitter account.
