Dubai’s Bluewaters project begins handover to its first residents

Dubai’s Bluewaters project has officially started the handover of its first completed residential units, developer Meraas announced on Thursday, months after the development opened to the public.

The Residences development comprises 10 mid-rise towers featuring 698 apartments, four penthouses – located at the topmost level of each tower – and 17 townhouses.

Each penthouse offers five bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and living areas with 360-degree views.

The units feature interiors with Scandinavian flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of observation wheel Ain Dubai, the Dubai skyline as well as the sea.

Amenities available to residents include gymnasiums, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, basketball courts, children’s play areas and a mosque.

The residential zone also includes basement-level parking bays, 32 retail outlets, a supermarket and a central landscaped podium.

The Dhs8bn Bluewaters project, located across Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR), features residential, hospitality, leisure and entertainment spaces.

Ain Dubai, at 250 metres, forms the centrepiece of Bluewaters and will carry up to 1,400 passengers at a time in its 48 double-glazed capsules, offering 360-degree views of Dubai.

The lifestyle retail area, The Wharf, will include 150 retail and dining outlets in low-rise structures. Food and beverage include licenced fine-dining concepts at the waterfront, eateries, cafés, restaurants and bistros.

The development also features the Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai, The Residences at Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai – collectively offering 495 luxury rooms and 80 serviced apartments.

It also features the Rotunda, a 500-seat theatre showcasing unique acts from Las Vegas, and Cove Beach – private beach club.

The Bluewaters island is connected to the mainland with a network of roads, including a direct link to Sheikh Zayed Road, pedestrian access from The Beach opposite JBR and water transport.
