Home Industry Hospitality Dubai’s Deyaar says work underway at Al Barsha hotel project The new development, near Mall of the Emirates, will be Shariah complaint by Robert Anderson August 31, 2016 Dubai real estate firm Deyaar Development has announced that work has begun on a hotel and serviced apartment development in Al Barsha. The hotel, near Mall of the Emirates, will comprise 408 units including 299 hotel rooms and 109 serviced apartments. These will be split between 93 one-bed and 16 two-bed units. Other facilities in the 70,800-square-feet plot will include restaurants; a business centre, meeting room, swimming pools, a gym, spa and children’s’ play area. Deyaar indicated the accommodation would be Shariah complaint with separate pools and other leisure facilities for men and women and Muslim-friendly dining options. The management company for the hotel, which is due to be completed by December 2017, was not named. “Our Al Barsha project is complementary to our growth strategy and is a significant expansion of our portfolio in the hospitality sector, as we are aiming to manage 1,000 hospitality units by 2018,” said Deyaar CEO Saeed Al Qatami.
