It has also urged travellers to be informed of the travel regulations of the intended destination and to hold the necessary documents with the required validity before reaching the airport. For those travelling with families, children over the age of 12 can use Smart Gates to speed up the passport control process. However, if passengers are flying out of Terminal 1, they are advised to arrive at the airport no earlier than three hours before departure. Those travelling from Terminal 3 can use Emirate’s early and self-service check-in facilities. Customers can use Dubai Metro to get to and from the airport as metro operating times have been extended during Eid holidays. Meanwhile, friends and families are advised to use the airport’s designated car parks or valet service to receive guests as access to the arrivals forecourt in Terminal 3 is limited to public transport and other authorised vehicles. DXB clocked 13.6 million in passenger traffic in the first quarter of 2022 and is forecast to receive 58.7 million passengers this year.
