Home Transport Aviation Dubai’s Emirates launches new pet transport service The carrier is offering door-to-door transport and other features by Staff Writer August 16, 2018 Dubai airline Emirates’ freight division has announced the launch of a service for transporting domestic pets. Emirates Pets builds on the carrier’s existing pet transportation offering with new features including door-to-door transport and the booking of return flights, according to the announcement. Bookings will be offered to more than 160 destinations, but the pet owner will be responsible for completing paperwork and clearances. Emirates SkyCargo said it would offer the door-to-door service through a partnership with Dubai-based pet relocation company Snoopy Pets. A similar home check-in service for bags was launched earlier this year. Read: Dubai’s Emirates introduces home check-in service The company offers pet transport including paperwork and veterinary checks to 16 markets – Bahrain, Brazil, Cyprus, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the UAE and UK – under its premium offering. Emirates SkyCargo has transported more than 11,000 domestic animals over the last two years, with the majority being dogs and cats. The wider pets offering includes a track and trace service, late cut-off for pet acceptance, dedicated animal care areas at Dubai International and Dubai World Central, a temperature protected transport ramp, special handling facilities worldwide and 24/7 veterinary care.
