Home Transport Aviation Dubai’s Emirates SkyCargo begins weekly flights to Luxembourg The first Boeing 777 freighter from Dubai World Central arrived in Luxembourg yesterday by Staff Writer June 13, 2017 Dubai’s Emirates SkyCargo has announced the beginning of weekly freighter flights to Luxembourg as part of an operational partnership with Cargolux Airlines. The first Boeing 777 freighter from Dubai World Central arrived in Luxembourg yesterday, marking the start of a service that will offer 100 tonnes of cargo capacity. The deal between Cargolux and Emirates SkyCargo, signed n May, allows customers of both carriers to access their respective destinations and services. Cargolux operates a three times weekly service to Dubai World Central. Emirates SkyCargo said ground handling of its freighters in Luxembourg would be carried out in the Cargolux facility and vice versa for Cargolux freighters in Dubai allowing the transfer of cargo. “This is an important step in our operational partnership with Cargolux through which we will be able to offer our customers an enhanced reach across each other’s networks, as well as an enriched service offering building upon our compatibility in ground handling and standard operating procedures for cargo transportation,” said Nabil Sultan, Emirates divisional senior vice president, cargo. Emirates’ freighter will arrive in Luxembourg at 1:25pm every Monday and depart to Dubai world Central at 3:25pm. Emirates SkyCargo currently flies to more than 150 destinations. 0 Comments
