Dubai’s Emirates to reduce passenger flights to Pakistan between May 5-20

This decision is as per the latest government directive in Pakistan

Dubai carrier Emirates will operate fewer flights to Pakistan from May 5 until May 20, as per the latter’s latest government directives.

“Emirates continues to operate passenger services to Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Sialkot, but with fewer flights available for passengers from May 5 until May 20, as per the latest government directive in Pakistan,” an Emirates spokesperson told Gulf Business. 

“Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused. Affected customers are advised to contact their travel agent or Emirates booking office to make changes to their bookings,” the spokesperson added.

In related South Asian news, the UAE extended its ban on inbound travellers from India on all national and foreign carriers’ flights on Tuesday.

Passengers coming from India are also not permitted to transit through the UAE en route to foreign destinations.

Meanwhile, the carrier also commenced trials of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Travel Pass. The trial is being conducted on select Emirates flights from Dubai to Barcelona and London Heathrow to Dubai; and will soon be expanded to include other routes.
