Home GCC UAE Dubai’s Emirates to resume flight operations to Newark via Athens The daily service will commence from June 1, 2021 by Zainab Mansoor February 22, 2021 Dubai carrier Emirates will resume daily services to Newark via Athens from June 1, 2021, it announced on February 22. The Dubai-Athens-Newark flight will operate daily with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, complementing Emirates’ double daily flights to New York (JFK). Emirates flight EK209 will depart Dubai at 10.50am, arriving in Athens at 3pm before departing again at 5.35pm and arriving into Newark Liberty International Airport at 9.20pm on the same day. The return flight EK210 will depart Newark at 11.55pm, arriving in Athens at 4.05pm the next day. EK210 will depart once again from Athens the next day at 6.05pm bound for Dubai where it will arrive at 11.35pm (all times are local). Emirates’ US network, with the recent addition, will grow to 10 destinations following the resumption of services to Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Washington DC, Dallas and San Francisco (to resume on March 2). Emirates will also increase its flights to Athens, flying daily to support the newly resumed service. Customers who purchase an Emirates ticket for travel on or before September 30, 2021, can rebook, should they wish to change their travel plans. Emirates also offers its multi-risk travel insurance and Covid-19 cover on all tickets purchased on or from December 1, 2020, at no cost to its customers.
