Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s Emirates to resume flights to more cities The carrier’s passenger network will broaden to 70 destinations in August by Zainab Mansoor August 4, 2020 Dubai’s Emirates will resume passenger services to Kuwait City (August 5) and Lisbon (August 16), scaling its passenger network to 70 destinations in August. Flights from Dubai to Kuwait City will operate as a daily service, while flights from Dubai to Lisbon will operate three times a week. The flights will be operated with the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER, and can be booked on the carrier’s website or via travel agents. As part of the Covid-19 precautionary measures, Covid-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from. Read more: Emirates issues travel advisory for passengers travelling to and from Dubai Emirates is committed to offer Covid-19 related cover to passengers, allowing customers to claim medical expenses of up to EUR150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR100 per day for 14 days, regardless of the class of travel or destination on flights undertaken until October 31. In July, the airline said that it had processed nearly 650,000 refund requests in the past two months, returning over Dhs1.9bn to its customers due to several cancellations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
