Dubai’s Emirates to resume passenger services to Bangkok

Emirates’ network will grow to 78 destinations in September

Dubai carrier Emirates will resume passenger services to Bangkok, with daily flights starting September 1.

Flights between Dubai and Bangkok will be operated with an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering seats in First, Business and Economy class.

Flight EK384 will depart Dubai daily at 1.50am and arrive in Bangkok at 11.30pm, while the return flight, EK385, will depart Bangkok at 3.25am, and arrive in Dubai at 6.35am, from September 2.

The resumption of flights to Bangkok will expand Emirates’ current network to 78 cities in September.

Customers can book flights either on the carrier’s website or via travel agents.

Travellers arriving into Bangkok are subject to requirements set by the Thai authorities, and are urged to check the latest information prior to booking.

Customers travelling First and Business Class can enjoy Emirates’ Chauffeur Drive service on departure from Bangkok, in Dubai.

As part of the Covid-19 precautionary measures, Covid-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from.

Emirates will offer Covid-19 related cover to passengers, allowing customers to claim medical expenses of up to EUR150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR100 per day for 14 days, regardless of the class of travel or destination on flights undertaken until October 31.

It has implemented safety and precautionary measures including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.

Emirates has asked its crew members to take voluntary unpaid leave again, as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic weighs heavily on the aviation sector.
