Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s Global Village Sees 600,000 Visitors The entertainment venue, which opened on October 21, saw 260,000 visitors during the first two days of Eid. by Aarti Nagraj October 29, 2012 Dubai-based entertainment venue Global Village announced that it has welcomed over 600,000 visitors since opening on October 21. A big chunk of the visitors came during the Eid holidays, with around 120,000 people attending on the first day and 140,000 people on the second day of Eid. The venue has extended its operating hours until 3am until November 2 as part of Eid celebrations. Global Village has a special Eid schedule with over 90 daily shows and cultural activities, including live performances by Bollywood’s Shiamak Davar Group, the Polynesian Tamure group from the Cook Islands and the Emirati Folk Troupe. The venue will also have a 3D show featuring a special four-minute film especially commissioned for the event. Located on Emirates Road, Global Village runs this year for 161 days, and includes 37 pavilions from 65 countries, 26 restaurants and has parking space for more than 16,500 cars. 0 Comments
