Dubai retail firm Marka has announced the opening of the first Middle East location of Italian coffee brand Ca’puccino.

The brand made its regional debut at Tuscan-inspired outlet mall Outlet Village in Dubai’s Jebel Ali.

Marka vice chairman and CEO Khaled Al Mheiri said the store, which has a capacity for 126 people, was the “first of many planned” with two more to launch in early 2017.

“As we continue to see growing demand on casual dining concepts, we are delighted to expand our hospitality portfolio with this prestigious brand, which has an enviable track-record in both the Italian and UK markets,” he said.

“This authentic Italian coffee house and kitchen will offer consumers in the UAE who have a deep love and appreciation for anything Italian a virtual grand tour of Italy, to savour the diverse regional cuisines and coffees without ever needing to leave their seats

Since launching in 2006, Ca’puccino has grown to 11 stores in Italy and five in the UK.

The brand also signed a licensing partnership to expand its UK footprint with HMS Host international in December.

Al Mheiri is currently assuming the CEOs responsibilities at Marka following the departure of Nick Peel last month.
