Home Industry Real Estate Dubai’s Nakheel reveals $1bn of projects including new community, mall The developer will begin work on a major new community and mall in Discovery Gardens next year by Staff Writer September 10, 2017 Dubai-based developer Nakheel has announced Dhs4bn ($1.08bn) of projects across the city ranging from apartment buildings and villas to marinas and a mall. The developments include a residential tower on the Palm Jumeirah, a large multi-purpose project in Discovery Gardens, new homes and leisure attractions in Jumeirah Park, a new hotel in Jumeirah Village Circle and six marinas on Deira Islands. Palm Beach Residences on the Palm will feature 250 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and a 38th floor sky lounge. Other aspects include landscaped grounds, sports, leisure, retail and dining facilities, a pool gym, tennis courts and clubhouse. Jenan Heights in Discovery Gardens consists of 2,500 apartments across nine towers in a green communal area with two hospitals. It will include community pools, a jogging track, gym and clubhouse and retail and dining facilities and will be connected to the upcoming Discovery Gardens Mall. The mall itself will feature shopping, dining and tourism facilities including 450,00 square feet of leasable space and a new 350-room hotel with a direct connection to the Dubai Metro. Elsewhere, the developer is building the 174-unit Jumeirah Park Villas, four-bedroom units in the Jumeirah Park community spanning 3,650 sq ft to 4,150 sq ft with private gardens and rooftop entertainment space. They will add to the 2,000 villas already delivered in the community and will be joined by a new leisure complex of health, fitness and wellbeing facilities including an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a 16,000 sq ft gym and a spa. Nakheel has also launched a new 252-room hotel in Jumeirah Village Circle designed to cater to the mid-market segment. It will have an all-day restaurant, cafe, pool, gym and car park and the developer is currently negotiating with prospective operators. Construction of all of these projects is due to begin in the second quarter of next year. Finally, the developer has announced six marinas worth Dhs165m on its Deira Islands master project that are big enough to accommodate 614 boats and yachts. Construction is due to start in the fourth quarter and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019. 0 Comments
