Dubai’s RTA reveals parking, Metro timings during Eid

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours of all its services during Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Parking

If Eid falls on Sunday, June 25, all paid parking zones in Dubai, except for fish market and multi-level parking lots, will be free of charge from Saturday, June 24, 2017 to Tuesday, June 27, and fees will be restored on Wednesday, June 28.

However, if Eid falls on Monday, June 26, then the parking will be free from Saturday, June 24 to Friday, June 30, and fees will be reactivated on Saturday, July 1.

Dubai Metro

Both the Red Line and Green Line metro stations will operate on Thursday, June 22 from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day), and on Friday, June 23 from 10am to 2am (of the following day).

From Saturday to Monday (June 24-26), the stations will operate from 5.50am up to 2am (of the following day).

The Express Metro Service will not be available from June 24-26.

Dubai Tram

From Saturday to Thursday (June 24-29), the Dubai Tram will operate from 5.30am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday (June 30), it will operate from 9am to 1am (of the following day).

Public buses

The main stations such as Gold Souq will remain open from 5am to 12.20 am (past midnight) while Al Ghubaiba station will operate from 5am to 12.28am (past midnight).

In subsidiary stations, such as Satwa station, buses will operate from 5am to 11.45pm except for Route C01 which will operate around-the-clock.

Al Qusais station will stay open from 5am to 12am (midnight), Al Quoz Industrial station from 5am to 11.30pm, and Jebel Ali station from 5am to 12am (midnight).

Metro link bus stations at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail and Etisalat will operate from 5am to 2.10am (of the following day).

The timing of all metro link bus service will match the timing of metro service, the RTA added.

In terms of inter-city bus services, main bus stations, such as Al Ghubaiba will have buses running 24/7 to Sharjah (Jubail station), and from 4.30am to 12am (midnight) to Abu Dhabi.

At subsidiary stations, such as the Union Square, the service will run from 4.30am to 1.25am (of the following day). Al Sabkha station will open from 6.15am to 1.30am (of the following day), Deira City Center station from 5.35am to 11.30pm, Karama station from 6.10am to 10.20pm, and Al Ahli Club station from 5.55am to 10.15pm.

External stations, such as Sharjah (Al Ta’awun) route, will operate from 5.30am to 10pm, Ajman route from 4.27am to 11pm, Fujairah route from 5.30am to 9.30pm and Hatta route from 5.30am to 9.30pm.

Marine transit modes

The water bus from Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) will run from from 12pm (at noon) to 12am (midnight) while the water taxi will operate from 9am to 10pm.

Dubai Ferry at Al Ghubaiba station and Marina station will run five services daily at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm.

At the Dubai Water Canal stations, the Ferry will operate three services daily from Al Jaddaf at 10am, 12pm (at noon), and 5.30pm. There will be three services from Dubai Water Canal station to Jaddaf station at 12.05pm (at noon), 2.05pm and 7.35pm.

Electric Abras will operate during the Eid Al Fitr holidays at Burj Khalifa from 6pm to 11.30pm, and at Mamzar station from 2pm to 12am (midnight).

During the first three days of Eid, Abra on the Creek will also remain operational at Baniyas and Dubai Old Souq stations from 10am to 12am (midnight).

Air-conditioned Abras at Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City will be operating from 7am to 12am (midnight). Abra at the Sheikh Zayed Road will run from 4pm up to 11.30pm.

Moaza Al Marri, director of Marketing and Corporate Communication at the RTA confirmed that Customers’ Happiness Centres will be closed during Eid Al Fitr break.

Vehicles Testing and Registration Centres (service providers) will also be off-duty during the first and second day of the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
