Sunday, October 6, is the first day of Dhu Al Hijja, meaning Monday October 14 will be Arafat Waqfa Day, with Eid starting the following day. “Saturday was the last day of Dhu Al Qa’da and today [Sunday] October 6, will mark the beginning of the lunar month of Dhu Al Hijja,” the Supreme Court said. Public departments and government sectors could be closed for six days when including the weekend.
